# Age of Wonders

Là phần đầu tiên trong loạt game  Age of Wonders. Game cho người chơi điều khiển một tộc trong tổng số 12 tộc trong game bao gồm các tộc khá quen thuộc trong các câu chuyện về thế giới fantasy như Undead, Elves, Humans, Orcs, Goblins, Dark Elves, Dwarves, và một số tộc đặc biệt khác. Ngoài ra ta còn có unit khác không thuộc một tộc cụ thể nào như loại rồng, người khổng lồ,... mà tùy theo đặc tính thì chúng có thể là kẻ địch hoặc là đồng minh với người chơi tương tự như với các tộc. Tùy theo cách chơi của người chơi mà sẽ có tộc kết đồng mình hoặc sẽ có tộc gây thù với bạn, tùy theo thái đọ của bạn đối với tộc của họ như thế nào.

Có hai nguồn tài nguyên chính trong Age of Wonders đó là Vàng và Mana. Vàng là đơn vị chính giúp bạn xây và nâng cấp thành, mua units, mua tướng hoặc là học phép. Mana được dùng để sử dụng phép thuật và nghiên cứu thêm các loại phép thuật khác nhau.

Age of Wonders có chế độ chơi đơn chiến dịch là chính, ngoài ra game còn cung cấp công cụ Edit Map cho phép bạn thỏa sức sáng tạo map riêng cho bản thân hoặc bạn có thể tải map từ người chơi khác về để chơi. Một vài map có thể chơi người chơi chơi đến 12 người thông qua mạng LAN.
