# Hearts of Iron

Hearts of Iron cho phép người điều khiển một trong các quốc gia tham chiến trong Đệ Nhị Thế Chiến và lãnh đạo quốc gia đó sống sót xuyên suốt game để dành chiến thắng. Hearts of Iron là trò chơi đầu tiên đi tiên phong trong thể loại wargame đại chiến lược. Các hậu bản sau này của game là Hearts of Iron II, Hearts of Iron III và Hearts of Iron IV cũng đi theo lối chơi này và gặt hái được thành công nhất định.

Có ba phe chính trong game đó là phe Trục, phe Đồng Mình và phe Đệ Tam Quốc Tế. Người chơi chơi bất kỳ quốc gia nào cũng đều có thể tham gia vào 3 phe trên. Người chơi phải làm chủ được các yếu tố kinh tế, chính trị và quân đội nếu mong muốn dành chiến thắng trong trò chơi. Game kết thúc khi chỉ còn 1 phe sống sót hoặc là khi ngày cuộc chiến kết thúc đến. Phe được giành chiến thắng dựa trên số điểm dành được trong quá trình chơi, điểm này tính dựa trên số khu vực hoặc thành phố mà phe đó chiếm đóng được.
