# System Shock: Enhanced Edition

System Shock được xem là một game bắn súng góc nhìn thứ nhất thành công và đi trước thời đại. Là game khởi đầu một cuộc cách mạng, là game FPS đầu tiên cho phép người chơi có thể nhìn lên nhìn xuống, nhảy, hệ thống lean và cúi người quen thuộc trong đa số các game FPS hiện nay. Game còn được khen ngợi bởi lối kể chuyện hấp dẫn tạo ra bầu không khí giúp người chơi nhập tâm hơn vào game mà sau này lối kể chuyện này được các game như Dead Space, BioShock hay Singularity kế thừa.

Tuy nhiên dù được khen ngợi và được đánh giá là mộ tuyệt phẩm kinh điển nhưng doanh số khá là ảm đảm. Vì thế sau này System Shock: Enhanced Edition (là một bản port) đã được Nigthdive Studio (bản đầu tiên do Looking Glass Studios phát triển) ra mắt để phù hợp hơn với các hệ thống hiện đại nhưng vẫn giữ được lối chơi cũ của bản đầu tiên.
